Hi,  I am with RAC at the moment and have just got the renewal, and they have put up it up by £30.85.  It will be a phone call to RAC to see if they will being the price down, if not then it will be Green Flag.  Has anybody had any experience with either Green Flag or RAC.  Thanks

No idea what RAC charge but just paid £137 to renew our Mayday. (£3 more than last year) That's for Premium UK cover, for any vehicle, so covers our MH and two cars for both myself and OH, all at the same level of cover. Plus of course any other vehicle we happen to be traveling in. I'm happy enough with that. For abroad I like the level of cover afforded by red Pennant and use that for vehicle / medical.

I have used them a couple of times for car only problems and they have always come quickly and sorted the issue.

I've just paid exactly the same today when I renewed my MayDay

Haven't a clue regarding their service, I have Mayday Greenflag for two cars but fortunately never used. Irrespective it's a reasonable cost for the Premium cover.

We have 'Britannia' breakdown cover through our bank account.

It covers both our cars, the caravan and our Motorhome for breakdown in the UK and Overseas, both or either driver in any vehicle we are in, costs £0

Doesn't the 'Flexplus' account cost an extra £13 per month over a normal current account.

A thumbs up for green Flag, car broke down on M25, towed us to depot and we got a replacement tow car for the rest of our holiday. Swapping it back when we got home.

Phoned RAC the other day and to my surprise managed to get £46.12 off what they had quoted me, so it turned out cheaper than last year.

Hi

We were with the AA until they wanted nearly £300 just for the car. So I rang Green Flag which brought it down to well under £100. Mind you, we have a brand new Merc and that comes with free breakdown service etc.

Yes it does, however when we moved to it, it was only £10 and you got interest on the account.

There are other benefits, such as free holiday insurance, free mobile phone insurance. So if you use all of them you more than cover the monthly payment.

I have my renewal in November for RAC arrival at £124 up from £109 last year.I do not bother with any of the additional cover you can have such as home start and battery cover.

I have quickly done a Mayday comparison and their’s is coming out around £100.00 as a second car is £25.00 to add.
