Sorento fuel tank problem

Hi all

Just seeking a little advice. I have an 06 plate Sorento XE with 60k on the clock. I have had it from new and its a fantastic towcar (towing 1600 kg) It has a full service history (3 years Kia) However it broke down last week for the first time. Had to  be towed to my holiday destination in Devon. When  it was repaired locally, the garage told me that the fuel filter was blocked by paint from the lining of the fuel tank and this was a well known problem. I have made enquiries of other owners and have found 4 sorentos and 1 sportage which would appear to have had exactly the same problem. I am in contact with Kia to try and get it sorted for free but would welcome any feedback from anyone who has had the problem. There is not much on the Kia forums. Many thanks
