Am seriously thinking about changing my tug to a 4x4 but out of curiosity decided to look a hiring one for a big holiday.Have been quoted £1100 for a Freelander + towbar etc. for a month in July '13.

So thats a lot of money to borrow a 4x4 ...but consider this c.£28000 for a good tug depreciating at 10%+ per year..insurance £500+  taxes £150/200 servicing c £250...and finally a great long test run to see if I could live with the vehicle in the future.

The more I investigated the more choice of 4x4s I came accross...so I could try out a new vehicle each year for less than the costs of owning it.

Apart from the fact that I only have the tug for a month each year for a cruise around Europe, the numbrs seem to make sense to me ...unless you people can convince me otherwise.
