Our twin axle Lunar TI has MTPLM of 1700kg which puts the nose weight at about 119kg, however the ALKO coupling restricts this to 100kg so we have the nosewweight at about 95kgs.
However we are looking for a new tow car and have sort fo settled on the Vauxhall Antara 2.2 auto which is very capable however the nose weight on the car is restricted to 80kgs which we feel may be too light to good towing!
Plus according to various sites the aerodynamics of the caravan will cause the nose weight to decrease with speed and in effect you could end up with the tail wagging the dog.
The "What tow car" website declare the Delta TI and Antara to be a perfect match, but I am not sure if it takes into account nose weight.
Am I worrying about nothing and will the Antara be suitable for our caravan?
