Finally after buying a sunncamp 240 duo last year, then spending almost a year worrying about towing for the first time.

There had been so many hold ups preventing up from going away with it, from bad weather to someone running into the back of my car and destroying my tow bar.

so after finally getting the car back from the garage.

I took the plunge and took the trailer for a short 150 mile round trip. 1 night stay :) it was brilliant i can honestly say i hardly even noticed it was there.

the hardest thing was getting it off my drive.

my tow car is a 1.6 petrol engined renault scenic. i can definitly give it two thumbs up. over the trip it returned an average mpg of 37.9 and that was with an even mix of motorway, town and country twisties.

i do put a little of the mpg down to me only doing 60 mph not 70 on the motorway.

As for putting the tent up for 2 of us it did take a hour and a half, in our defence weve never put it up before.

taking it down and packing away took 30 mins.

we have progressed up from camping in a tent and the difference was amazing. the bed was great (not waking up in the moring on an air bed was the best)

I can honestly say all that time worring for no reason. if anything i felt a little safer in the car being 9 metres long :)
