We are currently on a cl in Dorset, 5 van rule. Ha Ha. Currently 8 vans and by tomorrow could be twelve. Apparantly a rotary club meet. How wrong is this ,everybody is so close, we go home tomorrow yippee.

It is not wrong.  The law allows for up to eight pitches any five of which can be used for caravans and MH plus a further two for tents / trailer tents at the same time.  Further any number of workers vans can be accommodated subject to space.  In addition if space is available a rally can be accommodated.

I don't know where you are getting your info from but you are wrong, the maximum number of vans on a C&MC CL is five and tents are not allowed.

Whenever I’ve seen certificates displayed at CL’s it always stated 5 x vans/MH/trailer tents but no mention of tents

Here is the Club’s guidance on terms and conditions for setting up a CL. It clearly states five outfits only, and no tents.

If I am understanding the OPs posts, (not just the first post) it would appear that the OP has experienced a similar issue on the same CL previously?

If it's a known problem at this CL, and clearly upsetting you, why go back again?

Edit, you found it as well Vulcan 😁

Op has dug a hole for himself stating it happened last year. So why complain this year. Odd

That is the CC Ltd take on the governing law/regulations.

And presumably what the CL has agreed to follow. So presumably, if need be, the CC giveth and the CC can take away.

That may refer to the rotary meet and also to what he has heard. Whether he has personally experienced it before is irrelevant however.
