Description of CLs

Having just returned from a CL I am more than miffed that we arrived to find ourselves separated from a large rally (must have been 30 vans) by three cones.

I don't know why other vanners choose a CL but for us it is because we expect five vans and relative peace and quiet.

This year we have also stayed on a CL that had about nine vans and also tents!

Surely the CC need to tighten the descriptions of these sites and police them better so that we can make an informed decision whether or not we want to pay our money to go there?  How often are these CLs visited, if indeed they are, are the visits unannounced?

If we leave a comment about a site there is never any update as to whats been done about the problems identified.  It seems to disappear into a black hole so I wonder if leaving feedback is worthwhile?
