Site Entrances!

There is a review on a CL in the CL section where a member had a problem getting into & out of a site.

I had a similar experience on a site in Devon last year nr Salcombe.  Beautiful site in itself, but impossible entrance  & exit off of a narrow lane. OK for a short two berth or small MH.  But for a longer 4 berth van (not a twin axle even) it was impossible.  I arrived after a very long & difficult drive during very heavy rain.  Just managed to squeeze in by holding my breath, but then spent the next 4 days worrying about how I was going to get out again.  Sure enough on exiting, no matter how carefully I took it, the bottom offside corner of my van grounded, and caused £1100 of damage.  OK -  I was the driver, and so ultimately it was my fault, but the issue of CL entrances is a problem, I cannot have been the first longer van to have had a problem there.

Today, as I use CL's more and more, because of club site price rises I now carry out one vital check, which I would recommend to others. - Google Earth it!  It works, - you can view the entrance before you book!
