Very annoying - no photographs

Do any of you find it unhelpful and very annoying that many CL's don't have a few photographs ?

We often don't visit some due to the lack of Information and photographs. I'm sure we, and they sometimes miss out sometimes. It is so easy now to take and upload pictures these days and we get suspicious as to why there are none.

It is important to us that given the limited time we spend away that we can get it as suitable to us as we possibly can. We like lots of space and nice surroundings. We do find photographs and descriptions together the reviews are the way we choose our site.

What do others think?

It would be interesting - although I suspect nigh on impossible to achieve - to know what the take up is of CLs with a photograph as opposed to ones that don't have one. I know that when I am looking, if there isn't a photo or two, I don't give the site a second thought and move on to others that have.

I always take site descriptions with a large pinch of salt - for example the one that described ' wonderful views of Filey Brigg' - which after a recce one afternoon revealed that it could only be achieved by standing on the caravan roof!

It's not that hard to actually find out what a site looks like, there are other websites where CLs are reviewed with photos, plus of course you can zoom in and use Google Earth. Might not be bang up to date, but you get a general idea.

Mr Shambles. Have you uploaded a profile photograph, because it's not showing up on my PC at this moment in time!

Not as annoying as putting photographs of the surrounding district and none of the CL.

100% agree. Pet dislike of mine.

Photos of the nearest tourist place are completely useless when researching a site to stay on.

The classic is a photo of a beaming kid with an I - scream on a beach sourced no doubt from a picture library in America.

Show us the site and especially how close other caravans are. We want to see if they are spread out or all close by and next to each other in a line because of hook up's etc.

This is something I raised 4 yrs ago. I see nothing has changed. A picture speaks a thousand words! CLs are not serving themselves well by not forwarding photos of their CL. I understand that if photos are sent the club will upload them. Please CL owners- let’s have some pictures!!
