Visitors to CL's.

We Have just returned from a 6 night stay at a charming CL in Kent. On arrival we congratulated ourselves on finding a potential 'little gem' of a site. However, all did not go well. The 5 van limit was breached, two families were allowed to take over pitch number one, their vans were parked very close together. Other outfits pitched up, and at one time 7 units were on site. Things became progressively worse as the two 'united' families had invited 20, yes 20 people to a Jubilee party on the Sunday, incuding 7 children which added to the two already there! Bunting was put up, a games/rounders pitch was marked out in readiness. Crates of beer soon materialised. Thankfully, it poured down which somewhat dampened the noise and the celebrations.

My question is, what is club policy on visitors? Are they charged? On the site we were on there was one toilet that the visitors used constantly. Like many members, we use CL's mainly because of the relative quietness as compared to Club Sites. If unlimited numbers of visitors are allowed, this seems to eradicate the peace many members seek. Evidently the same families use this site on a regular basis for family birthdays and other family celebrations. What do members, and the club think of this?
