Stayed a week at Willow Farm, Hobhole Bank, New Leake, Lincolnshire, September 2011. It's about 8 miles NE of Boston and also a short run to Skegness. The site is secluded and well sheltered from the winds that blow across the flat lands of Lincolnshire. Plenty of blue sky and sunshine, but very windy all week.

A good grass area, with well spaced EHU points amongst lots of willow trees, hazel trees and apple trees, with a pick your own and eat as many as you like policy. The Russet apples were lovely, straight off the tree, wash and wipe, crisp and the taste, mmmmm.
This area is good for cycling, lots of flat straight country roads with very little traffic. So a nice short 30 mile bike ride to Wainfleet and back, paying a visit to Batemans Brewery, timed it wrong though, the brewery tours were in the afternoon! Purchased a few bottles in the visitor centre and made my way back in a very strong headwind.

As the legs stated to ache, I got to thinking; 'am I peddling at more than 85%?, am I more than the MTPLM?, should I have more than 60psi in the back tyre, with a pannier loaded with bottled beer’!!! The 'Victory Ale' was very good and went down well.

Had a nice beach walk at Chapel St Leonards with the dogs, and then stopped off in Ingoldmells on the way back at a nice pub for a meal, The Countryman on the A52. The wife decided to drive back so I could sample the beer brewed in their own back yard, The Leila Cottage Brewery. The meal was very good, home cooked, locally sourced with plenty to eat.
This area is very flat and the fields are full of vegetables, plenty of ditches and a couple of windmills.
