Bilbao to Calpe route tips

In 2 weeks time we will be driving our campervan from Bilbao to Calpe (just north of Alicante).  Can anyone help with the following -

Google suggests AP68 to Zaragoza then through Teruel to Valencia and then the coast road.  Has anyone any experience of this route or the N232 which I believe runs alongside it early on?

Any good campsites on the route for pleasant stopovers?

Does anyone know any of the 3 campsites in Calpe - or recommend any on the coast north of Calpe?

We may go back via Barcelona - any good sites with convenient access to the City (e.g. good public transport)?
