Manzac Ferme near Nontron is lovely, adults only, very friendly Brit owners. Piegut Pluvier market is great, worth finding several hours for

showers, wc, wash up, bakery not far away, spacious hard pitches, ehu

surrounded by trees and peace

La Tournerie near Montignac-Lascaux, adults only and again friendly Brit owners

excellent showers, wc, wash up, very spacious hard pitches, ehu

very quiet and views, as well as Montignac, Sarlat, La Roque-Gageac and Domme and many other places not far away

Google Aire Naturel de Camping Dordogne and it will give you several in tne 25 pitches category - look at photos, read reviews, but locate them on a map as the Dordogne covers a very wide area. And Loire valley is many miles away.

And although you say you don’t want a swimming pool you will find that with the summer temperatures there a cooling off dip is bliss .

Going in April you are very early for French sites so use the ACSI discount book and card for up to date info and cross check with the campsite web page.

you will have no problem getting on sites at that time of year -no need to book .
