First Time travelling to France with our caravan

We like a few others have never taken our van abroad, we are quite seasoned travelers but have never taken our van and unlike so many of you have never been to France,we like small friendly sites ( not bothered about entertainment) we love scenery mountains good walks and lots of sunshine, our time is our own now hubby has retierd, so doing France, Germany, and probably ending up in Italy for a short time, but I digress, back to france any advice on were to go ni France and what to exspect would be much appriciated, we are going at the end of April this year. thanks to you all for reading, .jenny
