La ville ferme?

None of us know why. It’s either a decision taken by the Club or one taken by the campsite. But the campsite remains open and is handling its own reservations if you wish to go there.

Stayed there many years ago to go to the Grand Prix in Monaco. Just checked their website and its still offering touring pitches. The site was unusual for France in that it was open all year, don't know if that has changed. Who knows why the Club no longer have it in their advanced booking service? It could be a change of site ownership, it could be that its not that popular with members. Getting to the stony beach requires a walk to get under the main railway line that runs along the coast. Can't remember being disturbed by the trains and the railway is a handy way of getting around.

Hi David. 
We were there in 2013.  We returned last year but not with the van, we flew out and hired a chalet. The site still has the same owners, but now closes in October and reopens in March. As we met a number of fellow members there it never occurred to me it wasn’t part of the advance booking service until I enquired yesterday.  
we really enjoyed both our stays, particularly the excellent public transport system just a short walk from the site.

Stayed there Sept 2023 for the rugby world cup. It is a terraced site with a mix of camping spaces and rental accommodation, spaces would be quite tight for big units. Friendly staff, food shops and eateries within walking distance. Near train station and bus stops. 

However it is in a residential/industrial area and the beach isn't terribly exciting!

It is ideal if you want a site with easy public transport into Nice, Monaco, Cannes etc. We wouldn't choose as a beach holiday site though.

Thanks for that update, I will adjust the wording of my site review on my website regarding opening times. It must have been one of very few French campsites with an extended opening. Perhaps with so many motorhomes using aires there is no longer the demand for campsites to be open longer?

Hello again.

As previously written, when we tried to book this site with the club we were told by the operator it was no longer available.  Our european guide has arrived this morning and there on page 87 c22 is this site.  
So apologies for the confusion but the information came straight from cmac!
