Naturcamping Kyllburg, Germany. Any knowledge?

Has anyone using the forum personal knowledge of the above camp site in Germany please. It is just off the A60/E42 motorway near Bitburg. I am considering using it as a stop over site on our way south late April and would welcome any personal experiences of getting an 8m/4t motorhome to the site. The reviews appear to be generally good on the ACSI website although there are 50 pitches with no electricity and quite a few permanent pitches. It says the pitches are grass but also that it is suitable for motorhomes over 8m & 4 tonnes.

I have stayed at the campsite at Prumtal before, which was very good with an excellent restaurant, but a bit further off the motorway.

Regards, Roy

Hi Roy we will be at Prumtal end of April the only other site I know is at Prüm but still off the main road a bit and not in the same class as Prumtal.  No knowledge of Kyllburg I am afraid.

I suspect we may well stop there David so will do.

Hi Dianne, When do you arrive/leave Prumtal and where are you heading for. We are heading down towards Lake Garda via the Reisa Pass for a change after reading some posts a few years ago from Eurotraveller about going that way. We may stop off also at some of your other recommended sites along the way.

Roy we will be there on 18th April for 3/4 days not sure how long we will be there really.  When we get there we hate to leave but will be making for Camping Vierthaler at Pfarrwerfen, below Salzburg and then home to Ossiach for a couple of weeks.  Then maybe back to Vienna, have not been there for a few years. Will be doing more touring as no Jodl for 6 weeks.   We will be seeing the Thaler's.

Cheers Dianne

Hi David, I think that camp site is the one I was looking at stopping for a few days to take the cable car ride for the views.

Hi Dianne, I'm afraid we will be much later than you so will not catch you along the way unfortunately, it would have been good to catch you both again.

Regards, Roy

Thanks David, Who can guess. For one night I think it would be worth trying it out. I was looking at different campsites to the ones at Irmst, was it camping Irmst West you stayed at?
