Speeds in Belgium.

From This January the 1st ,new reduced speed limits are in force .The speed limit of 90 kph has been reduced to 70kph  and there are NO warning signs !!( info' courtesy of CCC )

The position is more complicated than that: the new restriction to 70 kph applies to single carriageways in Flanders, it remains 90 kph in Wallonia and dual carriageways and motorways remain at 120 kph - even when towing!

I was tempted to make a comment that on many Belgian secondary roads, the surface is such that 70 kph is fast enough!

I dont find Belgium complicated and the state of the roads are about on par with Cheshireundecided

Any place that can't agree on a parliament for 17 months is complicated. We tourists don't notice it much but locals certainly do.

For goodness sake it's like living in a country that has 2 separate languages going on at the same time. Oh yeah....... mmmm. Maybe I should keep quiet.
