A number of specific questions have been raised about what might happen after 29 March 2019 when the UK leaves the European Union (EU). We've identified some information and advice for people travelling abroad with caravans and motorhomes in the hope that it will help you find out what impact Brexit may have on your holiday plans. You can find this here: Travelling after Brexit

We will also try and keep you updated with relevant information on this discussion and please feel free to share information and advice with each other. We do ask that no conversations about politics devhttps://www.caravanclub.co.uk/overseas-holidays/useful-information/travelling-after-brexit/elop - as you know this can often get heated! As such any political comments will be removed but we would really appreciate any constructive comments and information shared.

Clubs advice, Op link, says if a green card is needed then one will cover both car and van. In an updated piece of information yesterday on Gov.uk web site  it says that if a green card is needed then two will be required. One for the car and one for the caravan

That's not Saga's view I have a green card from them that has the code F to indicate that I will be towing a trailer, I was asked by them before it was issued.

David

This is from the Gov.uk site updated yesterday.

"Some EU and EEA countries may also require a separate Green Card as proof of insurance for caravans and trailers. If you are travelling with a caravan or trailer, you will need two Green Cards: one for the towing vehicle, and one for the caravan or trailer."

Look Here and scroll down to Sec 7

May I ask where to find code F on the Green Card?

Is that because in some EU countries trailers can be and often are registered and insured in their own right?  Perhaps a bit of UK Gov confusion; very rare I know but it just may be a possibility undecided.

Then perhaps the club can update us on this info as they mention in their OP

Thanks, I've found it on the Green Card for my caravan now too, but I've got two Green Cards, one with the F and the other for the car with an A.

Sat. 10.20 am. Have just spoken the CCMC Insurance Section who say that there is no need for a separate Green Card for one’s caravan. They will try to issue a bulletin to this effect ASAP...
