A number of specific questions have been raised about what might happen after 29 March 2019 when the UK leaves the European Union (EU). We've identified some information and advice for people travelling abroad with caravans and motorhomes in the hope that it will help you find out what impact Brexit may have on your holiday plans. You can find this here: Travelling after Brexit

We will also try and keep you updated with relevant information on this discussion and please feel free to share information and advice with each other. We do ask that no conversations about politics devhttps://www.caravanclub.co.uk/overseas-holidays/useful-information/travelling-after-brexit/elop - as you know this can often get heated! As such any political comments will be removed but we would really appreciate any constructive comments and information shared.

The Club should update the advice page as a matter of urgency.  It is now out of date.

a bit premature I think. Doesn't it have to go through parliament and be passed by the EU first ?

I prefer to do my own research rather than rely on a third party.

By the time you've read 1246 pages or whatever it is, you'll not have time to go anywhere.

It seems from a  cursory glance at this "agreement" that it won affect those taking short packages much but will create complications for the long stayers and dog owners. However could have been worse .

It also won't have any effect if you have dual UK/EU nationality.

For dog owners getting pouch through the rabies cycle could be problematic and expensive, but once you have done it vaccine only needs to be renewed every 2 years, yes you will have to present your pouch to a UK vet 10 days before leaving the UK to ensure your pet is fit and well and no doubt there will be a charge for this, but you currently have to do this when returning to the UK, and yes you have to pay and the fees vary from vet to vet.

We have for years had pouch vacinated against leishmania, not compulsory but leishmania is prevelant particularly in Spain and a killer, so no expense spared for us, same with personal travel/breakdown insurance, if could not afford it we would not go simple, best to know you are covered as not. laughing
