I have just been reading the "Access information Statement" on Low Park Wood site. I quote "The site is approached by a tarmac surfaced two-way drive that opens out to the parking area before reception" Sunday week ago I arrived at Low Park Wood at 12.15pm. Half way along the  "Two-way drive" (here read Lane) I was stopped by a motorhome in front of me which had just arrived shortly before I did. The driver came back to me and said the lane is blocked by three caravans coming out of the site. Being the last in, I unhitched the van and with the help of others, pushed it back several hundred meters to the lane that leads to the farm shop. I reversed back which let the motorhome reverse back out of the way. At this stage two new vans arrived at the site. After some more manoeuvring the three vans coming out got clear and we were able to drive into reception. The lane has some passing places. Two cars could pass fairly easily. A car and one caravan could possibly pass with care. There is certainly not enough room for two caravans to pass. Why cannot this site have similar arrangements as say, Rowntree Park in York or Chatsworth House, both of which have limited access. At these two sites the rule is that departures are about an hour before new arrivals are due. In almost 30 years with the Club, I have never experienced the chaos at the two sites mentioned  that I encountered at Low Park Wood. As one who is nearer 80 than 70 I can do without this hassle and I will certainly not be using Low Park Wood until arrival arrangements are improved. My suggestion to others, don't arrive around 12.15 on a Sunday. Why is the Access Statement " on the approach to this site not correct? Henry.
