Stayed a couple of times at this lovely site ....one of our favourites. View to die for on Loch Linnhe. A unique location.
The walk we usually do when there, is the Waterfalls walk which starts at Inchree Falls car park, 20 mins walk away. Views are spectacular when you get to where the waterfalls are .....stunning. A beautiful circular walk through some great woodland & pine forest. The bonus being, at the start of the walk at the car park, there is a Red Squirrel observation area, where feeders are put out for them, and you can watch them behind a hide. Never failed to see them. Wonderful.
Before the car park, there is an Inn, the Four Seasons Pub & Restaurant. They do lovely food & drink (when open).

Posted on 13/01/2021 16:57 by NSumHi there,
We have booked Bunree for our main summer break this year in late July - early August 2021. We will be travelling up from West Sussex, from near Crawley, the last time we headed so far north was to Grantown-on-Spey back in 2014 so we are looking forward to venturing up here again with our touring caravan.
We plan to travel up to Troutbeck CAMC first and have 2 nights booked here and then straight up to Bunree. Looking at the comments and routes it sounds like the best route is to go via Sterling and Callendar so I need to check the road altas and plan it all out but it looks like I need to pick up the M73 from the M74, then the M80, then the A84 around Stirling, on past Callendar before picking up A85 for a spell and then finally on to the A82 right through to the site.
Having looked on Google street view it doesn't cover the site access road which is referred to as narrow with passing places and traffic lights. Just wondering how narrow is it? The road looks fairly straight so presumably reasonable vision of the road ahead is pretty good. Just wanted other members comments and thoughts on the access road please?
It looks like an amazing location.
Thanks,
NSum

We stayed at Troutbeck Head for a couple of nights last September, make sure you stock up on meat from the Cocklakes Farm Shop as you get back on the A66 (just 2.6 miles from site) en rte back to the M6....
We are actually staying at Bunree 1st week in June, stopping overnight at Troutbeck & will stock up with steak, chops & chicken for sure .
We have a trip on the Jacobite Railway booked to..... then heading for NC500
