Anyone planning to visit Cornwall with dogs this summer should be aware that there have been a number of changes to the access arrangements on beaches. In an attempt to standardise these arrangements some beaches will now be more restricted whilst others will have some restrictions lifted. Details are here, but please do check before going.

The only people voting for this are dog owners, nobody asked me to vote last year when i was down there.

How hard did you look? It was well publicised that the survey was open to all, residents or visitors! undecided

I don't get the way this tread as gone.

It was a (very good) post telling people with and without dogs the changes that are affecting beaches on Cornwall so that whatever your preference you know which beach to use, that was all it was wasn't it?

Yes, an obvious attempt to derail the thread when the info provided was made with good intention.

I have reported the two responsible, and would welcome my post being Deleted User along with theirs when it is tidied up.

Posters are only giving their opinions. My dogs loved the beach. Has to use a longline with the lab as once he was in the sea, unless with me it would be hall to get him to swim back to shore. I still feel that on many popular beaches a dog and no dog area would be a better solution spring and summer

When I had children and a dog it would have been a better option

There are ways and ways of giving opinions, Easy. It can be done by putting intelligent points or it can be done offensively by insulting other posters and breaching the guidelines.

One poster is even doing it anonymously (he thinks) but that’s not the way to get folk on side and it only provokes people. There again, that might be what he wants🤷🏻‍♂️.

M, thanks for posting, useful for us as we are hopefully down in September if not before. We know enough about Cornwall’s dogs and beaches policy to recognise this is good news. Gives locals a chance to use more beaches early and late with their own pets, without interfering with busy beaches for the visitors. Looking at the list there are still lots of all year round dog friendly beaches. You just have to know where they are😂😉

Our all time favourite isn’t listed, so no changes. Dog friendly 365 days of the year, 24 hours per day. And it still never gets busy at the height of July/August. Less than a mile to St Ives as well😂

There are beaches like this with no restrictions all around Cornwall. This one is called The Strangles - free parking on the top road , 20 minutes to walk down and rather longer to walk back up again.

Tech savvy? Bit of a Yorkshire Terrier?😂

You need to stray more than 400 metres from car to find this gem! Breathtaking!
