Feeling let down!

We had booked a touring pitch and a tent pitch at Cayton Village, Scarborough for May half term.  A chance to get away with the family for the first time in ages.  Got a call from the site Manager this morning to say that the tent pitches weren't going to be available this year! We are now frantically looking for an alternative club site or buy/rent a huge awning (Size 15)!! Any suggestions?

Thanks for all the advice! We need an awning size 15 (1005 cm). Busy looking at the moment. We know it's an expensive solution but our grandsons are so looking forward to the holiday it will be worth it. We can always sell it on afterwards!

I don't think that you will need to buy an awning just for this trip.

On page 639 of the current handbook in Section 6 referring to awning pitches it states:
"You may also put up a tent for extra sleeping accommodation.......but please keep them within your pitch area".

Presumably you  already have a tent so as long as it fits within the space (allowing for the requisite space between units) you should be OK. Once the site re-opens it would be worth checking with the warden.
