We are hiring a motorhome for the first time in August just for a long weekend to start with. We are looking for a site in Dumfies & Galloway area that is quiet and preferable has a loch or sea view. Can anyone recommend one please.  I have read about Kirkloch near Lochmaben and Loch Ken. I'd be grateful for your comments. Its just two adults and we wont have bikes etc for access to anywhere.  We hope to buy a MH mayble next spring but just want to "get the feel" of them prior to doing this.  Never having driven one before or set it up etc we would like somewhere fairly simple and level to start out with.  Is it best to get hardstanding rather than grass or is that not important.
