Pitch without awning: Out of interest...

...how accurate is this? What size differential are we talking about in terms of pitch size? Does it apply to motorhome canopies?...which may/may not have a safari room or somesuch hanging from them? Is it a site-by-site individual thing?

If one were to book one of these pitches as all the 'piches with awning' were full would there be an issue? As a motorhomist I work within the confines of a roll out canopy rather than a mahoosive bolt on tent/awning thingy.
