Site closures = weather related

On another forum, mention is made about bookings having been cancelled due to bad weather forcing sites to be closed temporarily. The comment is that whilst they have been advised that the bookings were cancelled, there has been - and so far, still is-  no information when the site will be reopened (York). Surely in this day and age the CC should post this immediately there are any such problems and keep this updated on its website in  a 'general information section. '?
