Sites we can no longer visit

I don't know whether anyone has already raised this concern, but I have just been leafing through the new sites directory, and found that there are loads of CC sites that have reduced the size of units that are accepted. I have been told that it is not necessarily because individual pitches are not large enough, but that it is sometimes 'access issues'. We never experienced any issues getting onto these sites before, so how come our (8.5m) motorhome is now too long? Surely, for example, a large vehicle towing a 8m caravan would cause as much of an 'access issue'? Baltic Wharf is one of our favourite sites for it's proximity to Bristol - very disappointed to find we are no longer welcome  Sad
