Nightmare to be honest. If Northumberland is anything like it was when we were there last September, finding somewhere away from the thronging masses will be difficult.

I have no doubts that there will be someone starting a thread moaning about how difficult it is to get a pitch by the seaside this year, and the Club needs to limit this, limit that, take huge deposits, stop none Members taking over, blah, blah..........😂😂🥸

Tbh, the pictures we saw of ram jam full sites last year were enough to make me stay at home.

Edit:  Whoops, I've just seen Brue's link in the Easter thread.

I agree.  Many will be staying in the UK.  Assuming we're allowed to go anywhere.....

I've already started to book some mid-week outings for late spring.  If we're not allowed, we can always cancel.

We spent a week on ram jam full site in late September TW, at North Berwick and we had no problems. Kept ourselves out of harms way. Did everything we would do if we stayed on a CL.

Some CLs only have the same spacing as club sites and if you don't use the Toilet Blocks for any reason it's just your unit surrounded by 3 or 4 others, whichever type of site you use.

Once away from site we found spaces away from the throng as well. Once we walked half a mile past the "let's stop here brigade" then space opened up and we carried on in exactly the same way we would do if at home.

It's not the sites that would stop us. I'm hopeful that by mid June at the latest all three of us will have had a second jab along with a large swathe of the adult population. We'll try to avoid heavily concentrated points whilst away but all three of us are of the mind that we'll go somewhere. The soon to be 88 year old insists the most. As she says each year lost is a high percentage of what's left to her.

Yes about your second paragraphsmile We should start a bet on who that will be?

Of course it could also be a tactic to get people booking? (like me)

We have some nice bolt holes, but doubt even these will be the one or two outfits on site we are used to using.

Only got one booking so far, that’s for an event. We are going to get handbook and maps out later, look at some mini tours we can just go on a whim when things are ok/suit.
