We visit the graves in Normandy - most recently in August this year - and attend the nightly service at the Menin Gate at Ypres when we pass that way. We have booked a place at Ypres for November 11th 2018.

Posted on 06/11/2017 13:56 by MJ730I have a poppy pin a Somme 100 pin and a Passchendaele 100 pin but I always buy at least 1 normal poppy each year and wear it with pride in remembrance of my Grandfather who was killed in action in 1914.

In Crewe they are in all the s/markets and in many other places too, Traficlady and it was in ASDA where I got my replacement this afternoon . It was good to see that there were Men & Women sellers after the kerfuffle about the women being deemed second class members of the R B L. despite their membership of the Armed Forces growing ever greater and more involved.
