A Sad Loss as you say,  DD,  There will be similar messages of loss from People and governments all around the World flooding the ether for some time.

GOD SAVE THE KING.

A very sad day. Thank you for your selfless service. A very high standard has been set. May she reunited with her beloved Philip and Rest in Peace.

Just heard Boris tribute and I think he summoned it up very well.

A very sad day. And, despite her age, quite a shock. A great Queen, always dutiful, dignified and caring. Proud she was our Queen. RIP.

I can remember. so very clearly ,I was in junior school when the Headmaster came into our classroom and told us " The King has died God save the Queen"

She will be missed more than can be put. into words

"God save King Charles 111"

A great sadness.  We have lost a remarkable person, sovereign and rock.  May she rest in eternal peace.

Very sad news, I was 6 days old when she was crowned.

A wonderful monarch, we will miss her smile and steadfastness.

I’m not a royalist at all, but this seems very much like the end of an era

RIP our lovely Queen 🥲

I feel a void. I turned 70 last Sunday so she is all I have know.

A rock indeed. May she rest in peace.

I was working today as a supply teacher and I was taking what we oldies called registration/tutorial but is now called Aspire in year 11. There was a presentation about the Queen and her life and it was lovely to see the whole class sombre and some tears shed even from those you really wouldn't expect. There was a priceless moment when one girl remarked at the end in pure Geordie 'aye, she was canny pretty like. The whole school was quieter than normal and many staff young and old, myself included, wearing black ties.

Like others I too am very saddened.
