Doddie Weir, OBE Scottish Rugby Union internationalist, Motor Neurone Disease sufferer, campaigner, recipient of the BBC Helen Rollinson award passed away after six years Living with the disease. RIP

It's an absolute horror of a disease Robsail and yet many sufferers seem to have such dignity and forbearance and Doddy, like Rob Burrow, epitomised this.

He always gave his best for Scotland on the pitch. Hard but fair.

Saddened beyond belief to hear this news. Doddie was a fine well respected Scottish Rugby player of the highest quality  BUT he will always be remembered by so many for that one single phrase :~~  " My Name is Doddie "  which will always remind us of his great and inspiring courage
