Amongst all the good work and monies raised for Sports Relief, what a superb achievement by Eddie Izzard. 27 marathons in 27 days is remarkable. And what an inspirational touch to finish under Nelson Mandela's statue in Johannesburg!

He's not my cup of tea as an entertainer, but as someone who knows the challenge of running any marathon I'm full of admiration for the guy. What a performance! Happy

I agree......from all the challenges I've seen (and I discount the rather pathetic One Show sailing trip as even being a challenge!) Eddie's was a supreme effort. There can be very few people who would take on such a challenge, let alone complete it.

I do actually find him extremely funny and a great entertainer, but here he has surpassed himself as a human being.......

A  truely  superb  performance,  perhaps  even  better  than  he  thought  since  he's  got  us  lot  agreeing  !!

Seriously  I'm  staggered  at  this  mans  grit  &  fortitude.  Just  hope  he  collects  loads  more  for  his  Charity  than  even  he  hoped  for !!
