i only just read the original thread and would  like to remind nicday that the booking service allows for pretty last minute cancellations.  I am just getting used to how it works myself!  I had 22nd  and 23rd December booked away and then was needed by family.  My first thought was bother the waste of money then realised it was just ok with the 72 hour limit Smile.  First grandchild born at 12.45 am on 23rd! Happy.  Long story as to why I was booked away near the birth but it was family stuff! Undecided

Family's  can  be  a  problem  at  times  Pippah,  but  all  can  be  forgiven  if  not  actually  forgotten,  in  the  Birthday  Celebrations.

Congratulations  &  Best  Wishes  to  the  Squeaker  Wink

( P.S.  was  The  Rude  Warden  actually  the  Midwife  ??  )

Thanks Pat and yes Birth days can bring people together!  I was working with DIL's father and stepfather to get the house clear of builders dust and debris - although it was quite awkward!

David. It was supposed to be about taking advantage of the booking and late cancellation policy so the OP of the first topic might see an option to trying for last minute availability but I do understand why it was moved.

Thank you robsail it is pretty special!  Happy

Moderator choice although the point of my OP was to emphasize the clubs booking policy makes it so easy to book ahead and then change if circumstaces change.  That was to help the OP of the original rude warden thread who was trying to do last minute bookings because of uncertainty.  I am only just learning to take advantage of being able to book without total commitment myselfSmile
