Saddened  to  hear  that  Jimmy  Perry,  of  It  Ain't  'arf  'ot  Mum,  Hi de hi  &  Dad's  army  fame  has  passed  away  today  at  93.

So  very  much  harmless,  gentle  humour  ==  still  being  aired  on  British  T.V.  even  now.

Rest  In  Peace,  Sir  &  Thank  You

For me the work produced by Jimmy in partnership with the late David Croft remains the very best of british comedy.I thank him for the entertainment he has given to so many people for so many years.

R.I.P.

Timeless humour.

Saw Ruth Madock being interviewed this morning and she said that they wrote lines specifically for the person playing the character........and it showed.

A great talent, his skill and humour will be sadly missed.

Sad news. His skill was in writing the right material for the right personnel. So many brilliant shows, so many brilliant gags. A great partnership with David Croft, the comedy has stood the test of time. I doubt we'll see their like again.

Jimmy Perry RIP.
