Liz Smith, one of the stars of The Royle Family (Nana) and The Vicar of Dibley has sadly died aged 95. Thanks for making us laugh Liz. RIP

How sad and how ironic that the episode of The Royle Family where Grandma died was on just the other night after Ricky Tomlinson's Who Do You Think You Are was on.

She'll be sadly missed.

What a terrible Christmas period it's been in this respect. Like Andrew Sachs and Peter Vaughan, a very underated actress - never the star of the show, but Vicar of Dibley and Royale Family wouldn't have been half as funny without her contributions.
