Very sad news - I saw the original King Crimson line up several times - pioneers of multimedia shows, fantastic lighting effects and of course such original music ( only played in our house now when Mrs M is out!)
RIP Greg Lake
M, then youll certainly remember this...
Confusion will be my epitaph.
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all sit back and laugh.
But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying,
Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be crying.
Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be crying
the voice and the soaring mellotron....magic stuff..
fo me, the LTIA (Larks Tongues In Aspic) 1973 tour was my live introduction to KC, but Greg had moved on by then...ive since got the back catalog....and actually listened to a couple of their CDs in the car today...before i heard this news
also a massive ELP fan, and to lose Keith and Greg now is just gutting....
so, so sad....
RIP Greg, voice of an angel and a wonderful jass/rock bassist...
