Bohemian Rhapsody

Can highly recommend this film about the band Queen.   It covers the period from 1970 to 1985 (Live Aid) and follows the trials and tribulations they suffered as a band during that period.    It is not a biopic of Freddie Mercury (although sometimes appears so).     The cast are exceptional in their roles and the film makes you laugh, cry, sing, cheer and at the end want to see it all again.

Following this we also went to the see Roger Taylor's Queen Extravaganza at the Bonus Arena in Hull last night which was fantastic.    The band were brilliant, in particular the drummer who sang a couple of numbers in place of the lead singer.    A 3 song encore finished the evening for us.    Can recommend it if you are a Queen fan

Went to see it this afternoon. Excellent film although I thought immensely sad. I know we all know the story but it does portray this very well. Funnily enough it was one of the few films I have been to where people actually stayed until the end of the credits!

Released through Sky today. Just watched it. Absolutely brilliant. Would have liked to crank the surround sound up a bit more, but might have annoyed the neighbours.😀

Enjoyed it, we had friends around and watched it on the telly. Reality of being in a group and in the limelight is not all roses. As an aside I love the new Freeview channel 'The 80's' original video accompanied songs of that era.

Not seen the film but we love Queen, have their music playing every week at home and in the car. All tremendous musicians. Freddy’s last album tugs at the heart strings like no other. How prophetic is “Who Wants To Live Forever”

My favourite image of him is shoving that hoover around..........with a twinkle in his eye!
