Dave Allen

I watched a programme about Dave Allen tonight. Through the use of irony and humour he attacked issues which he felt were important in society at the time. Including, I was surprised to find out, apartheid.

Even being send death threats by both the IRA and Provisional IRA didn't stop him.

I can't help feeling the 'holier than thou'  politically  correct do-gooders who exist today would prevent such a hard hitting show being broadcast now.
