After what seems an age of not having any decent series on television the series Mrs Wilson might suit some. It started last night and was the first episode of three. Apparently based on real life events. The story centres around a women who married an older man she worked with. They had  two sons together and there was no indication it was anything other than a happy marriage. However when he died it was discovered that there was another Mrs Wilson and there may be even more! So not a question of finding bodies but wives!!! It could be interesting.

I liked it, hopefully it will be good. Found the props in scenes  telephone, clock decor etc made it hard to tell which period some bits were in 😲. Maybe because I remember the 60's 😂 I thought some dated well past 1963. Don't know about the earlier decades 😂. Not enough research into period or someone's interpretation? Strangest of all at the burial, giving nothing away, there was no soil from the hole 😲🤣

OH I'm turning into an anorak 😉

I think if difficult with the props because I doubt there was a lot of difference between the mid forties and the mid sixties especially in households with older residents with perhaps the exception of a television. I am working on the basis of my Mum and Dad's house!!!

Agreed but this was a young family! The typewriter, telephone and wall clock all looked more early 70s rather than 60s. But that's an aside really, those who weren't there won't be any the wiser 😉 Also the discussion with the undertaker 're names and dates on the coffin and the registrars all very loose. Like law or medical programmes not always spot on! Just me being picky probably 😂😂.

I must have a look, there were big differences in each decade, the props ought to be right. wink

I watched the actress being interviewed on The One Show, it has been taken from a real event and she is actually playing her mother. Also mentioned she is still researching the family history.

I saw he was wearing black socks with his army uniform and he had pilots wings above  his left pocket which did not look like Army ones.

He was also sporting a beard which Army & RAF were only allowed moustaches, RN were allowed beards but no moustaches.

Now I am being picky.

Glad it's not just me. I don't usually note such things so I think they must have been easily identifiable 😂. Not what I expect of the BBC. Didn't notice who made it, will look next week, as the BBC commission stuff not do themselves these days.

Yes I knew it was based on real life and there's a book I believe probably some sort of biography. Similar to the undercover cops where things are coming to light. Can't abide the One Show so didn't see the interview.

I did notice the some of those things. (not the black socks) However I am far from sure what his real roll is and whether he is actually a soldier or just playing a part. The beard I could understand if he was in intelligence and dealing with middle eastern affairs, but I am not even sure about that!!! There is something odd about him as a character which we will no doubt learn more about as the series goes on.
