Tonight is the last in this series.  Thank heavens!!!  I was looking forward to nice juicy BBC drama but this has failed sadly.  I’m only going to watch it in the hope that the last one will make some sense of the previous five!

We only watched the first episode but decided it wasn't for us. By what you say it seems we made the right decision? We both find series filmed in gloomy conditions difficult to watch.

We watched it and I suppose it did clear up a few loose ends but couldn’t help thinking ‘what was the point of all that’!!   Perhaps one needs a certain type of brain?!

I rather enjoy a series that keeps you on the edge of your seat in order to get a final outcome but from the first episode it just seemed like any other period drama and didn't hold out much promise?
