The Voice

I got bored with the Voice. The acts were entertaining and the judges comments were good. ----- What spoiled it for me was the long irrelevant time wasting between acts.

Cheers ..........K

There were one or two tiny gaps just before individual performances, but I didn't think it was too bad.  I quite enjoyed the fact that some of the 'power' was in the hands of the contestants when they had to chose the 'mentor'.  I shall watch it again.

Loved Truly Scrumptious and the final guy, both really good voices, nice to get two good ones in one episode, didn't think much of any others. Lovely to see Tom back and Gavin is showing promise, could be a good series smile

Have never watched The Voice - not a single episode - but it certainly must be better than BBC's alternative Let It Shine which Mrs M made me sit through last night - absolute dire rubbish (IMHO of course! wink)

The voice on ITV to many ad breaks 5 Mins at a time it was better when it was on BBC

laughing That is exactly why we watched Let it Shine and recorded the Voice, so we could then watch it later and fast forward through the ad breaks (not to mention the rest of the dross in between) Tonight I watched the 'new Strictly' on ITV (Dance, dance, dance) that was just as bad - pretty much an ad break between every dance surprised it was excruciatingly long-winded, very unnecessary IMO, don't think I'll bother with that again (Strictly - it is not !)

As for Let it Shine, think they have found their star in programme 1, the guy who is already in Thriller, job done there !

We watched Let it shine last night thought it was good despite the first 5 mins  and no adverts. Will record the voice and watch Let it Shine next week.

Only saw a short snippet of Dance, Dance, Dance and, to be honest, I wasn't that impressed.  Not a patch on Stricily.   Haven't seen Let it Shine at all. Perhaps I should give it a listen.  Watching the Voice as we speak. On CT during the adverts!!  laughing

It's one of the few programs I enjoy watching, because at this stage of the series every act coming on is a total unknown talent. I also enjoy the judging system and format of the show, unlike some other talent show's that need a new format or taking off the TV altogether.
