Anyone watching this three part series on BBC 2? It is set in 1906 and the main characters are Inspector Oskar Rheinhardt who might be described as a "traditional" policeman of his era where perhaps thinking too deeply about something doesn't really happen! To aid him along comes young Doctor Max Liebermann who is keen on the teachings of Sigmund Freud and uses his methods to understand the people committing the crimes. Not dissimilar to a Austrian Sherlock Holmes! One slightly amusing part was when Rheinhardt says to his boss that a particular person didn't match the profile for the crime which not only dumbfounded his boss but seemed a bit out of place in 1906! Quite an interesting watch.
