War Horse Live

Last night, I went to see the National Theatre production of the show War Horse beamed live into our local cinema. Now I don’t suppose it’s anything like actually being in the theatre itself, but it’s a great way to experience a stunningly brilliant production of the show at a reasonable cost. The acting is superb, the special effects electrifying but without doubt the stars of the show are the puppeteers whose skills are so utterly convincing that you easily forget that the horses are not real. It’s a fantastic evening out and I believe it’s being repeated at other cinemas around the country at a later date. So if London is too difficult to get to, or if its silly theatre prices are not for you, do take the opportunity to go to see it. You certainly won’t regret it!  Happy.
