New series of this fabulous programme starts tonight. For many of us who can no longer spend hours in the countryside visiting our wonderful wild places this must be a godsend. The usual gang of excellently knowledgeable presenters will be on show once again. Even we who are still able and willing to get out and about the sights, sounds and messages are welcomed and informative. 👍

We have a trip planned to Norfolk and Suffolk this coming season and will be visiting the many reserves across Anglia. Winterwatch is based here at Wild Ken Hill, a real success story of rewilding and reintroductions so I’m particularly interested and hoping to include this place on our visits in order to find out more. Anyone been?

I looked up Wild Ken Hill last year as I was interested in visiting but it seemed to me that it is not open to the general public, although I believe they have some "open days" for people with land who want to re-wild. I hope that they do change and open to the public but I can understand if they don't.
