Another fabulous season presented by that knowledgable team starts tonight BBC2 8pm. Hopefully this will provide lots of possible tips for trips out and about. Don’t know if Iolo is appearing but I hope and wish him all the best in his recovery after his recent illness. Should be very informative and enjoyable and may provide rays of hope in our ever changing world, much detrimentally effected by ‘us’!

Wow, I believe I’ve watched every episode of ever season of the ‘Watches’ and this Winterwatch is in my opinion the best of the bunch. They just get better and better. So brilliant to see Iolo back and on full form, the very obvious respect and friendship between him and Chris and the rest of the crew is very obvious. Even after all these years that new knowledge, developmental understanding and modified views keeps the format and enjoyment of the series fresh. What photography too!👍

I am enjoying the latest series and agree with you re photography, something to watch on the dull damp evenings of January.

This series abounds with fascinating new facts and data, well for me it does. That explanation of the reproductive processes of ferns was most illuminating. I knew they had spores but didn’t fully appreciate or understand what that entailed. I do now, it’s different to the point of being almost alien. Oh, and the update on that beluga and then an explanation of those species now overwintering in the UK which in the past would have migrated South. Sadly, final episode of this Winterwatch series tonight! 👍
