New bbq...any Cobb owners out there??

It depends.....  We love our Cobb and I can cook a roast chicken on it that would feed 4 easily.   Once the charcoal is hot it is just a question of putting the chicken on the roasting plate, putting the lid on and leaving for an hour and a half.   If you want loads of bacon, sausages and burgers doing all at the same time for 4 people I think it would be too small.

We have both and both are excellent. We only use the Cobb Brickets which we find excellent and efficient. My preference is the Cadac if away in the Caravan, but either would do the job that you require it to do I am sure.

I love cooking and hankered after a Cobb for a long time. I sourced one second hand a couple of years ago. I cooked a chicken in it that tasted very nice but no better than those I cook in our Remoska. This is without doubt the most useful and used piece of cooking kit we have in the van. If you want to use the Cobb as a BBQ then it will only really be big enough for two unless you go large size. It was an absolute pain to clean, so I sold it.

If you want the BBQ experience then buy a BBQ. If like us you want a heat source to be used outside and are not great meat eaters then I'm afraid the Cadac takes some beating. We use ours with the hot plate or wok style frying pan. If it is windy or we have a decent amperage then it's the induction hob on an extension lead. 

We are all different though.
