Apple Security Issue

I know quite a few on here use Apple devices. Something I hadn’t picked up on until this morning. On Wednesday they announced there was a security issue that could allow hackers to access your device. It was not widely trumpeted outside of the tech community. There is a security update to the OS (15.6.1) for pads and phones available to download. Mine is set to auto update and it hadn’t done it, so worth checking you are up to date. The issue also affects the iMac and there is an update to Monterey.

Did it manually on laptop, Desktop (mini) had already done it itself, both on monterey. Phones and ipads had to be done manually. Possibly depends on how soon after release you check. Previous updates have all happened automatically, but after a longer wait.

One ipad on ipadOS 16 pre release, (because why not, keeps me on my toes.) That gets little updates all the time.

Phones & iPad done yesterday. Still running the MacBook on Big Sur as, when I upgraded to that, I lost my printer and had a bit of a game chasing round for a couple of files to get it working again. Don't want that problem with Monterey.
