Low Emissions Zones

This is for everyone who drives a vehicle regardless of type, this a very important message various councils around the country have brought in LOW EMISSIONS ZONES or ULTRA LOW EMISSIONS ZONES if you wish to enter these you will have to pay a charge and if you unknowingly enter them and do not pay the charge you will be informed by the various councils what fine you will have to pay.

The important message  is that the mainstream media has at no time publicised what the sneaky councils have been busy doing through lockdown and what other plans they have in store for driving motorists off the road, more information on this subject can be found on the net and YouTube.

Yes, she can do that, but there is some small print at the bottom that says they cannot guarantee that the information given is correct.......so a get out for the official number plate checker site.

As the fine is £60, she wants to be sure.

Personally, I think it could be a mistake as all the info we have found re the car seems to say it is Euro 3.

Here in Glasgow, unfortunately, her office, with parking that she, as a team leader, can book, is about 100m inside the LEZ.  Normally she works from home, but does have to go to the office about once a fortnight.  There is no available  nearby parking outside the zone.

Her alternatives are to borrow one of our cars, or take a bus, the latter not ideal as she has to drop off the children at nursery first.

More an Event destination than a holiday destination, but anyone coming to Sheffield needs to read up and be aware. Around half a million pounds raked in via fines one way or another in just three months. Scheme obviously has some teething issues, reading about some folks experiences. We can no longer use our MH to take pooch to vets, like we used to do, (using the day as a day out in Derbyshire Peaks), we now have to use Jeep instead. It’s 25 minutes from home to vets in a vehicle. Would be around 2 hours on public transport. The catch 22 is that we couldn’t get his chariot onto a bus, tram or train, so we have no choice anyway. (Specialist vet, in case anyone is wondering).

I am intending to attend the afternoon performance of the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall in London if I can get tickets. I can't do overnight stays because I have to be back for Parade on Sunday, and as train fares for 4 of us are horrendous, I wondered if there is a member living just outside the London Emission Zones but with good rail/underground connections to central London/Kensington who would let me park my car outside or on their drive for a few hours on 11Th November?
