Looks as if the Australian GP has been postponed after someone form the McLaren team tested positive for the Corona Virus. There is serious doubt about the next two races as well. Given that the F1 promoters are trying to cram in more and more races there is nowhere to move them to!

Yes it was a very frightening accident and as you say how he survived with apparently so little injury is something of a miracle. I think it's easy to think of F1 as being very sanitised in terms of safety there are still enough accidents to remind us it is a very dangerous sport. Stroll also had a nasty accident when his car ended up upside down.

Be interesting to see who they get to replace him. It would be a wonderful opportunity for George Russell if they can get Williams to agree? Stoffel Vandoorne has been mentioned as a possible replacement and the every present Journeyman/ Super Sub of F1 Nico Hulkenberg?

George Russell it is then! Excellent move for him and I would be surprised if it is not a pathway to a more permanent seat at Mercedes at some point in the future.

Good Luck George

Yes I think George can be very pleased with himself despite his obvious and understandable disappointment. They have serviced two cars in the pit lane by stacking them before without issue so quite why they made such a hash of it. Mind you I suppose Bottas is breathing easier because if George had won it would have put his position in doubt even if it hasn't done without the win?

George Russell acquitted himself well despite the flaky work in the pits. A successor to Lewis Hamilton?

I think that there are several drivers who could do well in that car.
