Wales may well have been understrength, but what superb rugby the Blacks played, particularly in the second half. I fear for the Italians, who are next for whipping and am somewhat concerned what will happen at HQ!

To answer Nellie's question.....I do believe Amazon Prime have the rights to these internationals, the only benefit for me, is that watching this streaming service (our internet is slow) feels like the good old days when you had 10 pints before the game and spent most of it trying to focus! foot-in-mouth

Yes, all on Amazon Prime Video.

I too fear for the Italians but far better for them that they play the All Blacks than the mostly tepid opposition England will face in these Autumn Internationals.

Not a follower of rugby but can anyone tell me what the burst of multiple gas jets, presumably LPG, add to the spectacle. Given our climate problems, we could do without unproductive use of hydrocarbons.

Watched much of the women's rugby this afternoon. Superb display by the Red Roses.

BTW we saw the NZ, Black Fens, touring party last week, as they were looking around Sonehenge when we were there.

Thanks for the heads up on the matches being on Prime, I could struggle to view it then as we are still away in the van and can't be sure of getting a signal.

Must agree, turned it on to watch a few minutes ended up watching the whole game, very entertaining. I was also seriously impressed by the skill level and commitment shown by the Red Roses. Some excellent handling and running lines on display, defensive tackling too has improving incredibly since the last time watched highlights of a previous game. They meet again next weekend, I’m sure the Black Ferns will raise their game. I will plan to watch this encounter. Many men’s Junior Club sides would struggle against this England team I think!😳

Definitely a very well drilled squad of ladies. The second match should be a tougher contest though, but hope that both sides continue to show the same sort of skills that were on exhibition on Sunday.

Scared to watch the Females playing these days ~~

1 )  firstly 'cos I was watching them some time back when the French Power went down & their floodlights were reduced to Little Stars  ~~ Just a faint twinkle wink

2 )  secondly 'cos I am old fashioned enough to still call them Ladies !

That’s true but The All Blacks are now so far ahead of any opposition in my opinion. What can England do to meet New Zealand’s exacting standards and skill sets?

However, it’s good that the stronger nations play against those 2nd tier countries to help raise their experiences, just not sure Tonga is one of them.
now what will happen as Farrell and Smith may well be out of tomorrow’s encounter. Looking more like an England B side. Now that may help future developments and may just make for better watching.

I think Italy will get more out of this weekend than England will. They just may not feel like this mind at the end of the game and a score line many predict.
